0% plastic to absorb flavors
POD uses reliable stainless steel door valves. Compared to a ball valve, steel doors seal better and flow more air in a small space. A leaking purge valve will dilute the flavor with room air. Each POD is tested to seal 0.0065inHg. It is a significantly higher rating than a typical multi ball-type system normally sealing to 0.0045inHg.
Only inert materials are used in POD’s construction:
- aluminum (71%)
- glass (15%)
- stainless steel (2%)
- silicone (12%)
- 0% plastic.
These choices resist flavor absorption, ensuring each session delivers an on-point flavor. Vacuum sealing is critical for accurate flavor delivery.
